Japanese Counter: 皿 (sara) with Audio
こんにちは、Ito です。
The other day, we went to Kura-Sushi, a conveyer belt sushi restaurant, in our neighborhood.
Our daughter is a picky eater and doesn't really like fish.
わが
She is not willing to try new foods, either.
But surprisingly, she went for salmon roe first and ate it straight away.

I could tell she didn't like it because she stopped eating it after the first bite. haha
She couldn't eat the whole plate, but at least she tried to eat something new! I think that's great.
So, 皿 (sara) is used to count the number of plates of food, including sushi. 🍣
Here are audio files for 一皿 to 十皿.

P.S. くら寿司 (and I assume other conveyer belt sushi restaurants) is always busy on the weekend lunchtime, so, it is better to make a reservation via the app if you would like to avoid waiting in line.
