こんにちは、Ito です。
To follow up on the last blog about "皿 (a counter for plates of sushi and other food)," in this post, we will explore how to count sushi🍣 🍣 🍣
To get straight to the point, we use 貫 (kan) to count pieces of sushi:
| 一貫 | ikkan |
| 二貫 | ni-kan |
| 三貫 | san-kan |
| 四貫 | yon-kan |
| 五貫 | go-kan |
| 六貫 | rokkan |
| 七貫 | nana-kan |
| 八貫 | hakkan hachi-kan |
| 九貫 | kyū-kan |
| 十貫 | jikkan jukkan |
And here are audio files for 一貫 to 十貫.

This is an example from the official website of a Japanese sushi delivery service, 銀のさら (Gin no Sara).
It says 50貫 for about 5 people (5人前) which includes shellfish, tuna, squid, sweet shrimp, albacore tuna, chinook salmon, simmer conger eel, salmon roe, Japanese icefish, minced tuna, and tamago. Available: March 1- June 30
